A trained journalist, Seshmi has had a variety of on-air roles, that are based off …
A truly unique asset in Seshmi’s skill-set is her innate ability for television producing. She excels in her ability to take a content idea for a segment or an entire show and conceptualize the required video, script, and interview elements; execute them in the field (and shoot video herself if needed), and edit together a compelling story and show in post production combining the use of graphics, music and creative video editing.
Fostered early on in her television career, Seshmi’s first roles in news were Producer roles, where she gained critical skills in effectively putting together daily newscasts, editorial duties, writing and video editing.
Just six months into her first Assistant Producer role (CBS affiliate WCTV6), Seshmi became the lead Producer at the helm of the stations new 5:30am newscast, and was tasked with creating the format and flow of the show, which would become the new morning lead-in to the 6am morning show.
After a successful 8-month run producing this show on a daily basis, Seshmi was then asked to do the same, and create the stations new 7pm newscast for their newly acquired MyNetworkTV.
Not only did this solidify her skills in Producing as she transitioned to an on-air talent, Seshmi confidently used those acquired skills, in each of her on-air roles there-after, assisting her stations and cable networks with producing quality visual and written content, both short and long-form. As Seshmi works very well with others, in several of the productions below she is leading a several-person team, in addition to producing for newer on-air talents, needing assistance.
